Mayor hosts water forum tonight

Mayor Jerry Sanders will host a town hall forum tonight at 6 p.m. to discuss critical challenges facing the city’s water supply.

The forum will be held at the La Jolla/Riford Branch Library at 7555 Draper Ave. Tonight’s forum is part of the mayor’s effort to spread the word about the need to conserve water and to prepare for potential reductions in water supplies.

He will talk about how the city purchases, treats and delivers a safe and reliable supply of water. Experts from the water department will answer questsions about how the water system works and about water conservation.
