Mayfields celebrate 70th anniversary

Barbara and Dwight Mayfield of Park La Jolla in Bird Rock celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on Aug. 12. In attendance were two of their three children, grandchildren, sons- and grand-sons-in-law, great-grandchildren and friends. Both retired from AT&T when it was Pacific Bell and have lived in La Jolla for 45 years. For the last 20 years, Barbara has been pianist for the Evans School in La Jolla. She also plays for La Jolla Methodist Church and has played for White Sands retirement community. They have volunteered at Scripps Memorial Hospital for approximately 15 years.
