Man stabbed trying to break up fight in Pacific Beach
A man who tried to break up a fight outside a Pacific Beach restaurant early Sunday was stabbed in the chest, police said.
The attack outside Han’s Boardwok Asian Kitchen at 4462 Mission Blvd.,
near Hornblend Street, was reported about 2 a.m., San Diego police Officer David Stafford said.
Witnesses told police several people were standing outside the restaurant when the suspect tried to start a fight, Stafford said. Then, a friend of the intended target, who stepped between the men and tried to stop the fight, was stabbed, he said.
The victim, whose name was withheld, was taken to a hospital, Stafford
said.
The suspect was described as a white man, wearing a white shirt, blue
jeans and big brimmed hat. He was last seen running north on Mission Boulevard, Stafford said.
