Man robs La Jolla pharmacy of oxycodone

A man who threatened he had a gun robbed a La Jolla CVS pharmacy of oxycodone Tuesday afternoon, police said.

The thief used a note to tell a pharmacist he had a gun, and then demanded the drugs from the Eads Avenue store near Pearl Street, Officer Matt Tortorella said. The suspect was given two bottles of oxycodone.

The suspect was described as white, in his 20s and about 6 feet tall. He was last seen running east toward an alley wearing a tan beanie, a dark hooded sweatshirt with the hood up, and large, round, reflective sunglasses.
