‘Lyle the Crocodile’ surfaces in La Jolla
San Diego Junior Theatre’s “Lyle the Crocodile” premiers on Sept. 11 and runs through Sept. 27 at the La Jolla YMCA Firehouse, near the corner of Herschel Avenue and Wall Street.
The show is based on Bernard Waber’s popular children’s book series about a lovable reptile. Performances are at 7 p.m. Fridays, as well as at 2 and 4 p.m. weekends.
“Lyle the Crocodile” tells the tale of the Primms and their son, Joshua, who finds a crocodile in the tub of the family’s new apartment in New York City. Directed by Emily Shackelford, the production features a cast of 20 youths from all around San Diego County. Among them are Sierra Ottilie-Kovelman and Rachel Wayne of La Jolla.
