aloud and alive.
Actors imbue their stories with such life they seem to leap off the page. Veronica Murphy, Artistic Director of Write Out Loud, explains:“We loved being read to as children, but as adults we rarely get that pleasure. Write Out Loud fills that void. Our audiences love what we do. Many of them close their eyes and let the story envelope them. Others watch the actors’ expressions and gestures as well as listen to the story. It is theatre at an elemental level: an actor; a story; and an audience. It is magic!”
Walter Ritter, who is the Executive Director of Write Out Loud, has a confidential suggestion for men who may have had some difficulty with Valentine’s Day in the past. Walter suggests:It is not too early to make your reservation now for
Love Notes.
There will be only one performance of this unique Valentine’s Day event. The performance will be at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 14. Reservations are strongly advised. Tickets are $25 for members and $30 for nonmembers. For tickets and more information, please call (858) 454–5872, or visit www.ljathenaeum.org/lectures.
“Gentlemen, were your previous Valentine’s Day efforts incomplete successes? Did they lack a certain verve? Did you need just a touch more romantic sizzle (but with style, sophistication, and a touch of panache) to inspire the desired response? If so, you must seize this opportunity to do it right at last. Book your reservation immediately!”
