Longtime WindanSea vet moves on

Dr. Bruce Lindsey, who founded WindanSea Veterinary Clinic at 6911 La Jolla Blvd. in 1971, resigned his position Oct. 29 and is practicing independently.

Lindsey, who sold the clinic in June, had been working there part-time.

“It just didn’t work out — it was time to go,” he said. He now runs a mobile veterinary service more than 6 miles removed from his former service area in La Jolla.

He is also working part-time with a colleague, Dr. Hani Shatila, in Kearny Mesa.

“When you love this work like I do, you do it until they put you out,” Lindsey said adding he has a new website under construction at
