LJCPA seeks candidates

The La Jolla Community Planning Association (LJCPA) will hold a special election on Thursday, Aug. 7 to fill the remaining term of three trustee seats. One seat will expire March 2009 and two on March 2010.

LJCPA President Joe LaCava said the positions provide, “an excellent chance for anyone with an interest in local planning to get involved and give back to the community.”

To be eligible, candidates must be members of the LJCPA in good standing and have attended at least three LJCPA meetings during the 12 months prior to August 7th.

A candidate forum will be held at the La Jolla Recreation Center, 615 Prospect St, Thursday, July 3 at 6 p.m.
