LJCDS, LJHS host homecoming football games on same night

La Jolla Country Day School crowned its Homecoming King Eric Blodgett and Queen Chanelle Herring twice on Friday, first at a pep rally that kicked off the two-day celebration and again at the football game against the Tri-City Christian Eagles. Festivities included a battle of the bands, a parade of floats and a variety of other activities as well as alumni gatherings and a family brunch.

La Jolla High School

Despite a hard loss of 28-7 to Point Loma High School, La Jolla High School fans kept their spirits high for the 2008 Homecoming celebration. Maggie Walsh was crowned homecoming queen and Kyle Ussleman was king for the evening. The week preceding the football game and dance, students showed their school spirit by dressing up in costumes at school. Themes included Neon Day, Preppy Day and Sports Day.
