The Payatas school is located near the Payatas dumpsite in metro Manila and has an enrollment of 230 first-grade students. The book drive is part of an ongoing effort to collect books for schools in need, and toys and clothes are also being accepted. The Daisy Girl Scout Troop will earn a petal (Daisy’s answer to a merit badge) for their efforts. Those who wish to donate may contact Prudence Gaspar at (858) 352-9733 or prudence.gaspar@gmail.com
