Lightner to answer questions at La Jolla planning group meeting

City Councilwoman Sherri Lightner will be available to answer questions at 6:15 p.m. tonight when the La Jolla Community Planning Association holds its first meeting of the new year.

The meeting, at the La Jolla Recreation Center, 600 Prospect St., begins at 6. Other agenda items include a report on the tsunami map and signs being posted along the coast and an update on changing the “rainbow curbs” to get more parking spots in the Village.

The planning group is preparing for its March 4 election when one–third of the seats will be up for election. Six spots will be filled, each for a three-year term. Candidates must be LJCPA members and must have attended three of the group’s meetings in the 12 months prior to the election.
