Light parent company acquires area papers
MainStreet Media Group LLC, a leading producer of community newspapers in California, has acquired the Pomerado Newspaper Group which includes the Poway News Chieftain, the Rancho Bernardo News Journal and the Corridor News.
These publications join MainStreet Media Group’s other San Diego newspapers, the La Jolla Light, Del Mar Times, Carmel Valley Leader, Rancho Santa Fe Record, Solana Beach Sun and Ramona Sentinel. The nine weekly newspapers will operate under the umbrella of the newly formed publishing group, San Diego Suburban Newspapers. In total, the nine local community newspapers will reach almost 120,000 households and nearly a quarter of a million readers. MainStreet also publishes two magazines in San Diego County, the San Diego Equestrian and Today’s Vintage.

Small businesses can micro target to their specific marketing needs and regional businesses with multiple outlets can select specific markets as well as all nine publications.”
