Light launches real estate site
The La Jolla Light has launched a new Web site,
www.lajollalighthomes.com
, bringing readers a comprehensive source for information on La Jolla real estate, publisher Phyllis Pfeiffer said this week. Not only does the site include listings for La Jolla properties, it also highlights up-to-the-minute Open House listings and extensive information about the life in the community — from its history to information about area schools, institutions, parks and beaches, and community events and attractions.
Pfeiffer said the site, built for those in the market to buy or sell a home, also highlights the character of La Jolla’s diverse neighborhoods.
Of particular interest is the Open House section, she added.
Because the Light is printed on Tuesday afternoons in order to meet post office deadlines, Realtors have to submit listings for publication in Thursday’s newspaper by noon Monday.
“In an effort to serve both readers and the real estate community, we’ve updated our new site to enable agents to add listings throughout the week,” Pfeiffer said. “That way, those looking for a new home can go on-line Saturday or Sunday morning and know that they can see all of the properties that are being shown by participating agents that weekend.”
The site also includes historical data on home prices in La Jolla and a directory of area Realtors. It also provides a way to search for properties in La Jolla and other communities.
