Lifeguards rescue injured man from Torrey Pines bluff
Lifeguards made a cliff rescue about 5:15 p.m. Monday to aid a man who slipped and injured himself while hiking on a trail in the Torrey Pines area.
“A 35-year-old male slipped and fell on a trail in a place called Indian Canyon north of Torrey Pines Gliderport and dislocated his shoulder,” said San Diego Lifeguard Lt. Andy Lerum.
Noting lifeguards and medics responded to the scene, Lerum added, “They brought him up the trail using a sophisticated series of ropes. He was transported to a local hospital.”
