La Jolla Writer’s Conference coming soon

Agents and editors will head up writing workshops at the La Jolla Writer’s Conference, which is being held Nov. 7-9 at Paradise Point Resort and Spa. Emergen-C Pink to raise awareness for breast cancer

The Emergen-C Pink Keep A Breast Tour will make stops at five California colleges Oct. 9-18. Emergen-C Pink will provide students with self-exam cards, free Roxy gear, Emergen-C Pink and the chance to meet pro-surfer Jennifer Smith. The tour stops at UCSD Oct. 9. La Jolla Festival of the Arts raises more than $80,000

The proceeds from this year’s La Jolla Festival of the Arts will enable the Torrey Pines Kiwanis Foundation to pledge more than $80,000 to approximately 30 local disabled-related associations. The Foundation will announce its beneficiary allocation later this year. The Festival has raised more than $1 million since its inception in 1987.
