League of Women Voters collects local candidate data

Share

The League of Women Voters of San Diego County is offering all local candidates throughout the county a way to reach local voters in the November election.

All candidates are invited to enter their biographical data, priorities and position statements, including links to their own Web site, directly through the League’s Web site called Smart Voter.

The Web site at

www.smartvoter.org

is a free online election resource offered in counties throughout the State of California.

Once on the Web site, people can access a personal sample ballot by typing in his or her voting address. This ballot will include what applies to each entry: the candidates, statewide measures and any local ballot measures where they live, as well as offering additional governmental information and links to other media resources.

The Smart Voter Project San Diego/La Jolla team is actively encouraging local San Diego and La Jolla candidates to connect with their constituents through this internet resource.

The League of Women Voters never endorses or opposes any candidates for public office. Smart Voter does provide voters with nonpartisan information to help them make their own choices.
