Latin Club works with kids
Five members of the La Jolla High School Latin Club took on a community service project at the La Jolla Recreation Center on April 7, playing Latin-themed games with about a dozen children. The club does three projects a year. Club President Tiffany Fan said they chose this activity because they wanted to do something different and to work with children.
The teenagers gave the youngsters Latin names and helped them make picture frames and greeting cards. LJHS is one of the few schools in San Diego that teach Latin.
