La Jolla’s UC San Diego ‘Race for the Future’ coming Saturday

A record number of 2,500 participants will join Chancellor Pradeep K. Khosla on a reimagined 3.1 mile race around the UC San Diego campus to raise critical funds for undergraduate scholarships. Starting at 9 a.m. June 8, the North campus Track and Field will be filled with participants, including faculty, staff, alumni and community members.

New this year is the Kid’s Fun Run featuring a 100-meter dash with our mascot King Triton and a Triton Treasure Hunt. Following the race, participants and spectators can enjoy a festival with live music, a healthy living fair and Runners Market, among other activities. A schedule for the day can be found here:

All race proceeds will go to support undergraduate student scholarships. Over its 17 year history, the race has raised more than $3 million to benefit more than 900 students.
