La Jollans graduate from colleges, universities
Several La Jollans are in the news from Boston University, including several who recently earned degrees: Lauren C. Noble Haldorsen, bachelor of arts in psychology and economics, magna cum laude; Sarah R. Stieber, bachelor of fine arts in painting, cum laude; and Emma M. Robbs, bachelor of fine arts-theater in theater arts.
In addition, Stieber was named to the Dean’s List for the spring semester.
- Courtney Hammond of La Jolla received a doctor of philosophy degree from the Graduate School of Emory University in Atlanta at its 165th commencement ceremony on May 10.
- Eyke Leinani Brath Hurdman, a resident of La Jolla and Lahaina, Hawaii, recently received a juris doctor degree from Thomas Jefferson School of Law.
While at Thomas Jefferson, she was a Likoa’e Scholarship recipient, volunteered at the Women’s Resource Fair, was a student member of the San Diego County Bar Association and Lawyers Club of San Diego, and a member of Phi Alpha Delta and Women’s Law Association. Additionally, she was the first West Coast legal intern with General Dynamics, NASSCO.
- Alan Adler of La Jolla received a bachelor of science degree in business administration/management during the 147th commencement at Bryant University on May 22. The university is in Smithfield, R.I.
