La Jollan advances in golf tournament

La Jollan Sarah Hallett was low net winner in the championship flight at the Executive Women’s Golf Association San Diego Chapter championship held on June 13 at The Crossings at Carlsbad. She is a registered nurse who works part time in the emergency room at Tri-City Medical Center and as a critical care transport nurse for San Diego Medical Services.

She and the other winners will advance to the regional semifinals to be held on July 10 in Henderson, Nev. National finals will be held in October in Wisconsin. The nonprofit Executive Women’s Golf Association has a network of more than 20,000 members in 123 chapters across the U.S. and Canada. It hosts mostly weekend events that give experienced golfers, as well as those wishing to learn the sport, an opportunity to learn, play and enjoy the game of golf for business and for fun. Go to
