La Jolla student full of ‘Merit’

La Jollan Amy Shoemaker was one of eight San Diego Jewish Academy juniors who are among the 50,000 students in the nation with the highest scores on their 2008 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT).

The students are: Harry Doshay of Rancho Santa Fe, Ben Graubart of La Jolla, Nathaniel Krasnoff of Carmel Valley, Daniel Penner of Carmel Valley, Shoemaker, Michael Tyler of Carlsbad, Ali Viterbi of Carmel Valley and Ben Weissman of Rancho Santa Fe.
