La Jolla Red All Stars team wins CalState tourney title

Winning the championship at the CalState Tournament’s 8-under Division put the La Jolla Red All Stars Baseball Team-Pinto Division in the regionals of the Little League World Series the weekend of July 25-26.

Before that, on July 17-19, we were entered in the CalState tournament at Presidio Park in San Diego. The boys went undefeated throughout the tournament and won the championship game against La Costa Blue All Stars with a decisive victory of 25-6 to win the gold medal and the championship banner for the 2009 CalState Games.

The team roster consisted of Evan Brown; Michael Campagna; Graham Cartwright; Ford Eldredge; Jacob Duffy; Cade Kronemyer; Marco Molina; Conner Noon; Gabriel Solis; Alexander Steigerwald; Axel Youngdale; me, the manager; and coaches Jim Duffy and Ted Eldredge. We are really proud of the boys and just wanted to give them the recognition they deserve for winning this year’s CalState 2009 tournament. Way to go boys!
