La Jolla gardens on display during tour

Music and art graced the gardens along the Secret Garden Tour of Old La Jolla hosted by the La Jolla Historical Society on May 9.

The annual fundraiser drew garden lovers to seven locations sprinkled around the community and an eighth for those who purchased Platinum Tour tickets. Gardens ranged from family-friendly to Tuscan-inspired and showed off the old and the new, manicured and free-form landscaping styles as well as patio dining settings and stunning floral arrangements.

While the day started out with a heavy overcast, by late morning a bright sun turned the day into a show of La Jolla’s glory.
