Animal Blessing

■ Pets and their guardians are welcome to Congregational Church of La Jolla’s Blessing of the Animals, 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 18 on the church’s pet-friendly courtyard patio at 1216 Cave St. Pastor Sam Greening will conduct the ceremony in remembrance of St. Francis of Assisi’s love for all creatures, as part of the Sunday worship service. Refreshments for pets and people will be served following the service.
