Soup’s On for Charity!

■ Empty Bowls will host its annual fundraiser to fight hunger and feed homeless people, 11 a.m. Saturday, May 9 at La Jolla United Methodist Church, 6063 La Jolla Blvd. Local potters have created ceramic bowls for the event and area restaurants are donating the soups and breads. Guests choose a bowl to take home from hundreds on display for $20 and then have it filled with soup. emptybowls.net
