La Jolla Chevron robbed with semi-automatic pistol

A robbery took place at a La Jolla Chevron, located at 7475 La Jolla Blvd., at 5:57 a.m. May 31.

According to a police report, the suspect entered the business while the employee was looking down counting money on the counter. The suspect “racked” the slide of a semi-automatic pistol as he walked behind the counter and confronted the clerk.

The suspect demanded money from the clerk and removed the money from the counter himself. The suspect left through the front door of the business and was last seen on foot going between adjacent businesses.

The suspect is described as an hispanic male, 20-30 years of age, 5-foot-4-inches, medium build wearing a black jacket, black pants and a blue and white baseball cap. The suspect also had a goatee. The San Diego Police’s Robbery Unit is handling the investigation.
