La Jolla bank robbed
Two gunmen robbed a La Jolla bank Wednesday, authorities reported.
The thieves, who appeared to be 20 to 30 years old, entered the Wachovia Bank office in the 1000 block of Torrey Pines Road, off of Girard Avenu and demanded cash about 10 a.m., according to San Diego police.
The bandits, both of whom were wearing black hooded jackets and ski-type masks concealing their faces. Both were armed with semi-automatic handguns. They fled out of the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, possibly in a silver car, SDPD Detective Gary Hassen said.
