La Jolla 7/11 robbed

The 7/11 located at 6953 La Jolla Blvd. was robbed around 2 a.m. Thursday, June 26.

Police say, the Hispanic, male suspect was dressed in a dark hooded sweat jacket and dark pants entered the 7/11 store, displayed a knife and told the clerk to give him the money.

The clerk got scared and ran out of the store. The suspect knew how to operate the register and took an undetermined amount of money out of the register.

The suspect entered a dark colored Japanese car and drove away. The San Diego Police Robbery Unit will handle the investigation.
