William (Bill) J. Kellogg, president of the La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club, has added another item to his lengthy resume.

He was recently elected president of the Southern California Tennis Association, replacing William E. Rombeau who served from 1997 to 2008.

Kellogg is the former co-chair of the U.S. Tennis Association Davis Cup and Fed Cup Committee.

Bob Shafer, a long-time member of the SCTA Board of Directors, will assume Kellogg’s position as the Sectional Delegate.

The SCTA, one of the 17 USTA sections which is based at the Los Angeles Tennis Center-UCLA, offers both on- and off-court programs for junior, adult and senior players of all ability levels throughout Southern California.
