Kearny Mesa bank robbed
A man in camouflage clothing robbed a Kearny Mesa bank Thursday, authorities reported.
The thief handed a demand note to a teller at the Chase Bank branch office in the 5300 block of Ruffin Road about 9:15 a.m., according to San Diego police. He fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Witnesses described the bandit as a roughly 5-foot-9-inch, 180-pound man who appeared to be in his late 30s, with a dark complexion and chubby face. He was wearing green-and-tan military fatigues, including a hat, and black
shoes.
