Whoever thought a canine would have a birthday party at a restaurant?

Gypsy, a resident of Rancho Santa Fe with her owner, Suzanne Figi, celebrated her 12th birthday at La Jolla’s Nine-Ten restaurant on May 5. Figi invited her closest friends and Gypsy’s 12 closest canine friends to enjoy the afternoon at Gypsy’s favorite restaurant.

Figi got her Lab mix through a rescue program, which found the 2-year-old dog on the side of the road with a broken leg. Gypsy is now far from the rough life--for her 10th birthday, the duo was invited to dine in Beverly Hills. For the Nine-Ten party, Gypsy ‘enjoyed’ a carrot cake, created by Jack Fisher, and was filmed by videographers from Animal Planet.
