Hoolko makes NCAA regionals
Dana Hoolko, a former three-sport star at La Jolla High School (2004-2007) just completed her junior year at UC Berkeley. An art history major with a 3.0 GPA, Hoolko has been a member of the varsity track team at Cal for the past three years.
She competed at the Pac 10 Track and Field Championships on May 14 where she made the finals in the javelin throw. Her toss of 143’-6” is the third best throw of all time at Cal and was good enough to qualify her for the NCAA Regional Track and Field Championships last weekend at the University of Texas, Austin.
Dana was a recipient of the LJHS Brent Woodall Scholarship in 2007 and still holds the girls pole vault record at La Jolla High School.
