Home-grown, hometown barbecue

A lot of hungry supporters and customers came out to celebrate the first anniversary of Homegrown Meats. In just a few hours, owners Dan Snyder, Peter Morris, Matt Rimel and Jay Rehm served more than 150 local grass-fed beef sliders, about 100 chicken tacos using Snyder’s new Beer Marinade, quite a few marinated kebabs, and local grass-fed fresh beef sausage.

The owners’ children, pictured, Bailey Morris, Georgie Morris and Lily Rimel, helped with the line of people waiting. Also on hand were manager Liz Frye and her husband, Ron.
