Holocaust film to screen in La Jolla
Emmy-Award-winning filmmaker Marian Marzynski will be doing a special advance screening of the first-person narrative of the Holocaust, “Never Forget to Lie,” at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 25, at La Jolla’s Landmark La Jolla Village Cinemas, 8879 Villa La Jolla Drive.
In a film that will premiere on PBS FRONTLINE April 30, Marzynski explores—for the first time—his own wartime childhood (as a Jewish child among Catholics) and the experiences of other child survivors. In a powerful narrative full of both heartbreak and inspiration, he delves into what it means to have an identity forged under circumstances where survival began with the directive “never forget to lie.”
Tickets for this film, which would likely be the last first-person telling of the Holocaust, are $10.50
