Hoff returns for theater benefit
Original “Jersey Boys” cast member and former La Jolla resident Christian Hoff returns to the stage of his childhood with a benefit performance for San Diego Junior Theatre at 8 p.m. Sept. 12 at Balboa Park’s Casa del Prado Theater.
He will also teach a master class from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Aug. 31 - “Making Your Dreams Come True” for individuals 12 and older, which includes the opportunity to practice auditioning, as well as professional success tips.
The benefit’s lineup features selections from Broadway hits, including “Jersey Boys” - the show for which Hoff earned the 2006 Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical.
Tickets are available for the performance as well as for a private dinner with Hoff that includes the pre-concert reception and premium seating. All guests are invited to a post-concert dessert reception that Hoff will also attend. Tickets are available at juniortheatre.com and (619) 239-8355.

.Hoff’s portrayal of Tommy DeVito of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons in “Jersey Boys” earned him nominations for a Drama Desk Award, Drama League Award and Outer Critics Circle Award in 2006, as well. Also on Broadway, Hoff was a cast member of “The Who’s Tommy” and performed at “The Who’s Tommy 15th Anniversary Concert.”
Most recently, Hoff has joined the cast of “Parade” at the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles.
