Guide aids energy planning
A new resource planning guide created for San Diego school districts, commissioned by the San Diego County Office of Education, provides a roadmap for reducing energy consumption through energy efficiency and renewable energy and is available for schools nationwide from the California Center for Sustainable Energy (CCSE) in San Diego.
The “Energy Planning Guide” is a plain language resource for understanding how to approach reducing districtwide energy consumption in schools through energy improvement projects. The guide details a wide range of energy issues, including strategic energy planning and program development, energy pricing, energy efficiency standards and codes, project financing, incentive programs, project benchmarking and other areas.
