National University, the second-largest private, nonprofit institution of higher education in California, has opened the National University Golf Academy.

The academy will offer innovative golf programs that combine academics with golf instruction at the high school, associate’s and bachelor’s levels.

It also features a Carlsbad-based Swing Lab, which utilizes cutting-edge technology to provide golf swing analysis and instruction to help students and instructors improve their game.

Instruction begins in September and enrollment is currently open.

The academy not only offers sports-focused golf degrees but also the opportunity for golfers to improve their core competencies and mental approach to golf. It will offer instruction by professional golfers, access to high technology and the ability for students to upload and receive video critiques of their swings.
