Girl Scouts 2007 Urban Campout includes sunset reception

The sponsors and committees for the Girl Scouts’ 2007 Urban Campout enjoyed a sunset donor reception at the beautiful La Jolla home of Diane and Roy Bell. Urban Campout Chair Susan McClellan and Honorary Chairs Linda and Mel Katz and Catherine and Phil Blair were among the other locals in attendance.

The La Jolla VIP guest list also included Jeanne Jones and Don Breitenberg, Kristi Pieper and Michael Rossbacher, Stephen and Scottie Brown, Barbara Bry, Marilyn and Doug Sawyer, Leigh and Stan Hartman, and Deborah Schramm.

Organizers of this year’s Girl Scouts fundraiser (set for Sept. 14th) dubbed the event, “Drive-in…Rock Out.” The recent reception gave guests a delightful preview of that 50s themed gala. A wood-paneled station wagon, parked in the driveway, set the mood even before guests entered, and each of the Girl Scout volunteers wore pink sunglasses as a nod to the period.
