Free cosmetic surgery seminar on July 17
More than 55 million cosmetic surgery procedures will be performed in 2015, predicts a recent study in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery®, the official medical journal of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS). This more than quadruples the number of procedures performed in 2005, the study noted.
The public can learn about the latest in cosmetic rejuvenation at a free seminar on Thursday, July 17, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Glass Pavilion, Hyatt Regency La Jolla.
Sponsored by La Jolla Spa MD, the seminar features live demonstrations, question and answer sessions with board certified dermatologists, cosmetic surgeons, and plastic surgeons.
Dr. Mitchel P. Goldman, medical director of La Jolla Spa MD, advises anyone considering treatment to do their homework. “It pains me to see advertisements for clinics that care far more about their profits than your health and happiness. They prey upon the desire we all have to be our best. But you only have one face to show the world, and one body to take you through life.
“Please, don’t put yourself at risk. Join us on July 17 so you can learn to ask the right questions about the credentials and training of the individuals you plan to trust with your health,” said Goldman. “I want you to be an informed client and make good, healthy choices that will improve your appearance and your outlook on life.”
