Foundation to award grants
The San Diego Women’s Foundation will award $152,700 to four new community partners at its 10th Annual Grants Celebration from 5:30 to 8 p.m. June 1 at the Neurosciences Institute in La Jolla.
More than 250 people are expected to attend the communitywide celebration. For tickets to the event, call (619) 235-2300.
This year’s awardees, now regarded as community partners, are: Camp Stevens: Environmental Stewardship Program, Torrey Pines Docent Society: A Nature Connection for All Ages, San Diego Coastkeeper: Marine Debris Program and Ocean Discovery Institute: Canyon Community Connection Project.
Each year, the San Diego Women’s Foundation enters a rigorous review process for grants in specific interest areas, which include Arts and Culture, Civil Society, Economic and Employment Development, Education, Health and Human Services, and Environment. SDWF’s upcoming focus will be Arts and Culture.
