Foundation hosts 2 events

The Jenna Druck Foundation’s Young Women’s Leadership Program will host the workshop, “Cultivate Connection — Celebrating the Power of Sisterhood” from 9 a.m. to noon May 22 in the Mission Bay area.

The event is open to middle and high school girls and interested adults. Tia Ross, will be the guest motivational speaker. Tickets are $10 at www.jennadruck.org. For conference location, call (619) 294-8000.

Also “The Butterfly Effect” fashion event to benefit The Jenna Druck Foundation’s Young Women’s Leadership Program will be held May 19 at the Museum of Photographic Arts at Balboa Park. Actor/singer Jai Rodriguez will be the auctioneer. The evening will feature “Project Runway Season 6" designer Christopher Straub’s 2010 fall ensemble. San Diego designers Jose Maria and Jeffrey Parish will also present their collections. In addition, from “Project Runway Season 7,” Mila Hemanovski will debut her fall line. Miriam Jewels will launch the Papillion Collection, with 20 percent of sales going to the foundation.

Australian musician Lee Coulter will perform, and guests can also view the current MoPA exhibit “State of Mind.” VIP tickets are $225, general admission is $125 at
