Former LJ Playhouse managing director hired in Indiana

Former managing director of the La Jolla Playhouse Steven Libman has been hired as the executive director of the Regional Performing Arts Center in Carmel, Ind.

He will begin his new position in mid-September with a first year salary of $200,000. The Regional Performing Center is currently under construction.

Managing director of the La Jolla Playhouse since June 2005, Libman stepped down in September 2008 to pursue an expanding consulting practice. In April this year, he was replaced by Michael S. Rosenberg, the La Jolla Playhouse’s current managing director.
