FBI seeking information on Pacific Beach robber
The FBI today, along with San Diego police, is seeking the public’s help in identifying a bank robbery who held up a Pacific Beach bank while wearing a San Diego Chargers shirt.
The thief, who appeared to be in his mid-40s, handed a demand note to a teller at the Bank of America branch office at 912 Garnet Ave. about 3 p.m. Monday, according to the FBI.
He fled the area on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. No weapon was reported.
Authorities described the robber as white, about 5 feet 8 to 5 feet 10 inches tall and 160-180 pounds. In addition to the gray sports-logo shirt, he was wearing a white baseball cap and blue jeans with a hole on the left knee.
