Fashionably fabulous fete
The Town and Country Resort was the scene of the 18th Annual Golden Hanger Fashion Awards Gala to celebrate the fashion industry in San Diego.
A very special award was presented to La Jolla’s own Martha Longenecker, founder and director of the Mingei International Museum. Jordan, a distinctive designer whose clothes are shown in town, was honored as Apparel Designer of the Year.
La Jolla philanthropist Ingrid Hibben was the underwriter for fabrics featured on one segment of the spectacular fashion show. As usual, the fashion parade was the centerpiece of the awards banquet.
Other local attendees included Barbara ZoBell, Ann Evans, Chris and Liz McCullah, Shawn Killy, Ken Gold, Tutu Sisuphan, Pat O’Connor and Janet Sutter.
