Exhibit focuses on uses of bay

A new exhibition at the Birch Aquarium at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography showcases the habitats and human uses of San Diego Bay. The exhibit features a touch-screen display that allows visitors to explore the natural resources, culture uses and human impacts of the 12-mile-long body of water. It is located alongside two new tanks inside the aquarium’s Hall of Fishes displaying the various species that inhabit San Diego Bay, including eelgrass and the giant Pacific seahorse. Funding for the exhibit came from the Port of San Diego and the Peterson Charitable Foundation.
