Dinner raises funds for San Diego Center for Children

More than 400 guests attended the annual dinner for the San Diego Center for Children recently at the US Grant Hotel in downtown San Diego, raising some $300,000 for the 123-year-old children’s charity.

Co-chairs Doreen Schonbrun and Elizabeth Oliver hosted the event.

Founded in 1887, the center is the city’s oldest non-profit children’s charity, working to help kids thrive despite the abuse, trauma or mental illness that has kept them from success at home, school, or in their community. The center provides educational and therapeutic programs, as well as art, music, and recreational therapy for children all around the county.
