Delinquent property tax notices sent to more than 60,000 in county

Notices are being sent to 60,331 San Diego County residents who are delinquent on their property taxes, San Diego County Treasurer-Tax Collector Dan McAllister announced Monday.

Delinquent taxpayers in the county owe more than $201 million in back taxes this year, according to McAllister.

McAllister said the number of delinquency notices being issued is 11,147 less than last year.

Delinquent taxpayers have until June 30th to pay their late property tax bills or additional penalties will be incurred.

“Penalty charges can add up if ignored,” McAllister said. “We need to do as much as we can to inform taxpayers that there will be additional charges if they do not pay by the end of the fiscal year.”

Payments can be made online at or by calling (877) 829-4732.
