Curtain rises on Junior Theatre’s ‘A Christmas Story’

San Diego Junior Theatre presents “A Christmas Story,” based on the favorite holiday movie about Ralphie Parker, BB guns and leg lamps.

“ ‘A Christmas Story’ reminds us of what it feels like to be 9 years old at Christmas,” director Desha Crownover said. “We are all on Ralphie’s side in his campaign to get a genuine Red Ryder BB gun.”

“A Christmas Story” plays at the Firehouse YMCA Theatre in La Jolla through Dec. 20. Performances are at 7 p.m. Fridays, and 1 and 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. The show is suitable for all ages.
