Crowd salutes military service members at annual Mount Soledad memorial

A crowd of about 1,000 turned out for the annual Memorial Day ceremony at Mount Soledad on Monday which this year paid tribute to U.S. Army Col. Bob Howard, a Medal of Honor recipient. A surprise guest in the audience was former Ebay CEO and California gubernatorial candidate Meg Whitman.
