CROCfest duathlon race series starts at Spanish Landing Park
SunBurnt Athletics CROCfest Aquathon series kicked off its eight-week series on July 7. Events take Wednesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. at Spanish Landing Park on Harbor Drive.
Each CROCfest race consists of an 800-meter open water swim and a 5K run and participants will have the option to participate in one of the legs or both. The swim is an easy-to-navigate course leaving from the beach at Spanish Landing Park swimming around three buoys then returning.
CROCfest’s scenic run course will take competitors out onto Harbor Island and back. Each race will include a post race dinner, beer garden, and prize giveaways.
A portion of the proceeds benefit the Rady Children’s Hospital Health Champions Program, designed to encourage kids to be active and eat healthy.
